Following a court petition by Serwadda Sulaiman Kidandala who is challenging the academic credentials of Ssegirinya Muhammad (formerly called Ssegirinya Richard), the newly elected Member of Parliament for Kawempe North, the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has revealed that the yet to be sworn in MP’s academic documents are not in his names. According to a letter issued by Mr. Peter Anywar, the UNEB Executive Secretary, the UNEB candidate numbers on Ssegirinya’s O level and A level belong to other people. “Candidate U0053/054 (2007 is Nampiima Sarah who sat at Mengo Secondary School not Ssegirinya Richard sitting at Pimba’s Secondary School,” part of the letter reads. Kawempe North MP elect Ssegirinya Muhammad risks missing his parliamentary seat over forged academic documents. In a letter issued by Uganda National Examinations Board to law firm Alaka and advocates, the documents the National Unity Platform flag bearer issued to the Electoral commission are not authentic.
