Museveni reappoints Lt Gen Gutti as head of General Court Martial

President Yoweri Museveni has reappointed Lieutenant General Andrew Gutti as Chairman General Court Martial. “On behalf of UPDF, I congratulate him,” said army spokesperson Brig Gen Flavia Byekwaso. Lt Gen Gutti has been the Chairman of the General Court Martial since May 2016 after he replaced the late Major General Levi Karuhanga. This is the same time Museveni is renewing his contract to serve at helm of army court. Between May 2012 and December 2013, he was the commander of the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM) based in Mogadishu, Somalia. Before his deployment to Somalia, he was the commandant of the Uganda Senior Command and Staff College at Kimaka in the Eastern Region of Uganda. In 2005, he served as a member of the Parliament of Uganda, representing the UPDF, replacing Brigadier Henry Tumukunde. Andrew Gutti served from 2011 to date as Commandant of the Uganda Senior Command and Staff College located in Kimaka Kimaka
