The President of Uganda has today lifted the ban on boda bodas and allowed them to continue doing business until 5pm.

Speaking to the nation on Sunday night, the president said that he had consulted with his people and felt it was unfair for the bodas to stop working at 2pm yet people still need deliveries. He then said they can continue working up to 5pm and go home to adhere to the 7pm curfew.

The President during one of his addresses to the nation directed that all bodas should stop working at 2pm because they had misused the privilege and were a great risk in the fight against COVID 19.
