MOSQUES AND CHURCHES WILL REMAIN CLOSED AS M7 BREAKS THE NEWS TO THE INTER RELIGIOUS COUNCIL.

Religious leaders under their umbrella body the inter religious council left State house heartbroken after Museveni gave it to them fair and square that churches and mosques will remain closed.

The President met the leaders of different faiths under their umbrella body and told them the risk of the Corona Virus is still strong and much as he plans to ease on the lock down,he will not allow churches and mosques to open because they gather many people and this could aid the spread of the virus.

As the religious leaders tried to object,he convinced them that unless they want to see people die and Ugandans slip into the Red zone of the virus, then they should adhere to his terms.Although they felt its unfair, they agreed with the president and he promised to help them navigate this period when their churches will be closed.

President Museveni is expected to ease on the lock down by allowing a section of Ugandans to go back to work but with strict measures and should we fail to adhere,a total lock down will be enforced.
