Ugandans on social media have had mixed reactions to South African based socialite Zari’s various social media posts refuting claims she is doing any charity in line with the COVID 19.
Today many countries are on lock down because of the Corona Virus and this hasn’t spared Uganda where she hails from although she is currently residing in South Africa.
Zari posted on her facebook and twitter accounts warning Ugandans against fake people and scams that were using her name to drum up support allegedly for the Corona Virus victims.
Through a fake Facebook account under her names, some people were trying to con Ugandans of their money by asking them to share mobile money on numbers they shared on Facebook. She however came out strongly to deny any attachment to these people and warned that whoever deals with them should do it at their own peril.
Zari’s post gathered mixed reactions with some in support of her and others had no kind words saying that much as she had shared about the con men and women using her name, she should have come out and also contributed to the cause since she says she is a boss lady.
However ZARI noted in her post that she has been doing charity over the years singlehandedly and didn’t need anyone’s support to do charity.
