KATUMBA WAMALA SAYS PUBLIC TRANSPORT BAN IS INDEFINITE.

General Edward Katumba Wamala the minister of works and transport in Uganda has said the ban on public transport will go on until the government feels its safe to lift.Speaking to the press this afternoon,the former Police boss and ex Army commander explained that the continuous ban on public transport past the initially set period of 14 days is no longer binding due to the prevailing circumstances.

Times are hard and this virus is still eating nations.We need to be cautious with all our actions to prevent Ugandans from dying just like that.When we feel its right to lift the ban on public transport we shall lift it,Katumba said.

Yesterday made exactly 14 days since the President declared a 14 day ban on all public transport.This included taxis and other passenger service vehicles.
