President M7 has come out strongly and assured those he calls opportunists and power hungry Ugandans that want cheap popularity by giving out free food to the people that they will not be tolerated and will be charged with attempted murder not unlawful assembly.
Speaking to the nation,M7 said anybody that has a contribution to make should get in touch with the National Task Force set up in these trying times and place their contribution there.
IF IT IS PUBLICITY THEY WANT LET THEM COME TO THE TASK FORCE AND THEIR NAMES WILL BE RECORDED AS WONDERFUL MEN AND ALL THE PUBLICITY WILL BE YOURS BUT THIS BUSINESS OF INFECTING MORE PEOPLE WE SHALL NOT ALLOW,M7 said.
He also stressed that anyone nabbed will be put in a special cell in Luzira and no bail will be granted.
This was part of a wider speech that saw the president emphasize and clarify on the 13 new directives he issued yesternite.
On Sunday former presidential candidate Kiiza Besigye announced plans by the Peoples government to roll out ambulances to provide emergency services to get people to hospitals in Kampala but this hasn’t kicked off as the President banned it all.
We await to see if Besigye will join the National Task Force as advised by the President.
