Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has officially declared his intention to contest for Speakership of in the 11th Parliament. The Kira Municipality legislator made his bid public on Tuesday March 9th while appearing on local television, NBS. He says he is not an opposition candidate but one for everybody and that his competence stands high for him. He adds that his two terms in parliament have helped him gain the needed experience hence he is capable of leading parliament. Ssemujju becomes the third person gunning for position incumbent Rebecca Kadaga and her deputy, Jacob Oulanyah who have already expressed interest to run. Ssemujju, aside from his role as the FDC spokesperson has been serving as the opposition chief whip in parliament.
