Court has refused Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament Francis Zaake to take plea because he was too ill.Appearing at Nakawa Magistrates court,Zaake was represented by his lawyers Eron Kiiza and Kiwanuka Abdallah who told the court chaired by Nakawa chief Magistrate Ruth Nabaasa that their client was too ill and frail and instead court has asked he be taken to a medical facility and as we speak he has been transferred to Nsambya hospital.
Zaake was picked from his home in mityana two Sundays ago on grounds of defying presidential directives.Zaake is accused of donating relief food to vulnerable people.
Earlier today,the people power movement held a press conference at their base in Kamwokya and demanded for the immediate release of the MP.Paul Mwiru who visited Zaake said that he was beaten especially in the eyes and that he could barely see.
This is the second time Zaake is hospitalised the first being the time of the Arua Fracas.
